It is raining so hard out right now that the windows are rattling and it looks like in the movies when the world is ending and you know they’ve turned on the firehoses for extra effect so it appears the world above sea-level is actually under it.
It’s just past noon half way through July and it looks and feels, sounds, smells and tastes like November at 6pm.
I’ve been putting off everything today, I’ll be honest. I’m sitting here writing this, searching for authenticity, listening to the Deadman soundtrack by Neil Young and Foreigner’s God by Hozier, which hardly succeeds in drowning out the rain at the highest point in their respective crescendo’s.
I want my family and something Mom’s made with her hands. But today, I’m left to my own devices and I’ll leave you now to yours.
